The future of our planet lies in the exploration of the vast universe. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been an important contributor to planetary exploration.
Through the session conducted on December 14 by Gitanjali Vedika, Mr. T Shanker Prasad helped us discover how rocket science was not all ISRO is limited to. Mr. Prasad is an experienced researcher in the field of Remote Sensing and he wanted to share this knowledge with all the students. He spoke about various satellites India has, their uses, different kinds of fuel they use, the successful and failed space missions and how India has progressed to be a formidable force in the satellite dominant world we see today. The session was attended by students of grades 6 and 7 of various branches of Gitanjali Group of Schools. The honoured presence of Ms. Madhavi Chandra, Ms. Sonia Nagpal, Ms. Nitasha Karan, the leaders and staff of all the sister branches made this session an affair to remember. The students were mesmerised by the new information they got to learn about and their curious minds had a million more questions. It was a fruitful experience for all.
