Emotions affect our interpretations, And everything from our decisions to imaginations. Whether we are on cloud nine or in the depths of despair, They affect us everywhere. Our mood swings impact our student lives, On which this poem will emphasize. Morning comes with a happy face, Unknown optimism, which makes us feel as if any problem we can embrace.

To school we head with excitement, Which is immediately dampened by the thought of our unfinished assignment. Worry takes the heart out of us, Grumpy and upset at our friends and fuss, Our anger destroys many a friendship, Tension and depression make us feel like a sunken ship.
Embarrassment turns our face as red as a tomato, As to our teacher our incomplete assignment we show.

We tremble with fear, That it is us at whom our classmates will leer. Our teacher's disappointment fills our heart with sadness, We feel ashamed of the brave face we put up, nonetheless. Guilty we feel at breaking ties with our friends, It makes us go and make amends. We return home tired but content, And finish the extra work our teacher has set. Hope this poem has taught you a thing or two, About our emotions and procrastinating our homework too.
