BENEFITS OF INTRODUCING NEW LANGUAGES

1. In an increasingly interconnected world, the argument in favour of introducing new languages at primary level is gaining in importance. Early exposure to a language helps with cognitive development and cultural appreciation. Learning languages beyond English, Hindi and Telugu strengthens students’ global competence and prepares them for a diverse and competitive future.

2. Language is a system of communication which consists of a set of sounds and written symbols which are used by the people for communication and writing. We use language to communicate our thoughts, feelings and experiences. Children at primary level have sharp brain and can learn anything very fast. As children can grasp anything very easily till the age of five, schools should implement learning new languages at primary level.

3. Early language implementation plays a crucial role in Children’s education . It helps with communication skills and lays the foundation for learning other subjects. Additionally, language is essential for social interaction and emotional expression, making early exposure vital for well-rounded development.
