Gitanjali Devakul has organized a field trip for the students of Class 7 on 9th August 2024 to ESSO - Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services ( ESSO- INCOIS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India which provides special advisory services and ocean data products for society, industry, the government and scientific community.

Students discovered numerous facts about the working nature of this organization, when and why was it established and how it is providing a very vital information on 'Early warning for tsunamis & storm surges' in collaboration with CSIR- NIO, and also in maintaining a vast amount of in-situ observation platforms to support the development of ocean state forecast system.
Above all the students were enthralled to see the satellite images of our oceans and a live demonstration of it.
