Filmit is a multi-cultural project that aims at nurturing cultural understanding, care and concern among school children through the exciting experience of making and sharing films.
This year the ‘INTACH FILMIT INDIA FILM FESTIVAL’ for Hyderabad schools was held at Gitanjali Devashray School. Gitanjali Devashray is in its milestone 20th year, commemorating 2 decades of excellence in the domain of education. And the main reason for this success story is the school’s focus on the holistic growth of its student body. The school’s thriving collaboration with INTACH over the last five years has enabled the institution to enhance its students’ awareness of our nation’s rich, diverse and vibrant heritage.
The event began on a ceremonious note with a prayer dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. A fusion dance programme by the students lent a festive air to this joyous occasion. N. Lakshitha of Grade 8 represented her school in the gathering by reciting a poem about the FILMIT journey, titled, ‘The FILMIT Rendezvous’.
