Workshop on “Environmental Education and Conservation of Natural Resources”

 

“A healthy planet with a vibrant biodiversity is key to sustain human life on Earth"

Teachers of Gitanjali Devakul participated in a workshop on “Environmental Education and Conservation of Natural Resources” on 6th December 2024.

The speakers brought valuable insights and practical advice, making the workshop an important step towards becoming an environmentally conscious community. The aim of the event was to educate participants on the importance of protecting natural resources and the need to integrate the principles of sustainable practises into everyday life in a meaningful way.

The session discussed various important terms related to the environment and sustainability.

The interactive session focussed on waste management by applying the principles of the 6R’s of Conservation to waste management in schools. These terms stand for a more sustainable life by reducing environmental impact. The exuberant speaker presented several concrete actions that schools could take to promote sustainability.

This one-day,  workshop  reinforced the need to preserve the vitality and rich biodiversity of our earth, with each participant acting as a torchbearer for a sustainable future and carrying the message - SUSTAINABILITY IS ACHIEVABLE.
