This Republic Day, the students of Gitanjali Vedika took a moment to appreciate the freedom they have and the constitution that protects it. The day was celebrated virtually through a compilation of videos presented to the students and parents. The Pre-Primary and grade 3 students started off the presentation with slogans, poems, and spoke a few sentences to make everyone aware of the significance of Republic Day. They also dressed up to show their patriotism. To bring in some energy, students of grades 1, 2, and 4 performed Zumba and patriotic mashup dances. Grade 5 students educated one and all about the momentous day which made India a newly formed republic, and once again reminded us all of the sacrifices of those before us. Grade 7 students showed their talent through a touching short film that emphasized the struggles of freedom fighters and their zeal that brought about the Constitution that we have today. The highlight of the day was the gymnastics performance that the middle schoolers took part in. It brought goosebumps to all those who watched.
