The festival of lights was celebrated by the staff and students of Gitanjali Vedika through a special assembly. The occasion began with a welcome dance by the little ones of grade 2 Cambridge. The puppet show was an engaging display that educated everyone on the importance of Diwali. The Diwali special dance performed by the students aimed to spread the message to all to be mindful this Diwali and not pollute the environment by bursting crackers. The celebrations promoted a sense of community and harmony among the members of the school.

The festival of lights, Diwali was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. Dressed in ethnic wear, the children looked gleeful. The children of grades 1, 2 and 3 were given diyas from the school, which they painted with colours of their choice. As the festival symbolises the victory of light over darkness, the children vowed to bring one positive change in them with the lighting of the diyas given to them.
