Gitanjali Vedika organised a session on Cyber Security for students of grades 5 to 8.

Cyber Security is a shared responsibility, and it boils down to this: in cybersecurity, the more systems we secure, the more secure we are.

With each and every one of us relying on the internet and our devices for every little thing- from googling definitions, to playing games with strangers online, to paying our bills and shopping, to even turning our lights on and off, it is extremely important to protect ourselves from dangers related to it.

With the joint cooperation of Cyberabad Police and DiLSeY volunteers, Gitanjali Vedika organised a session on Cyber Security for students of grades 5 to 8. Parents attended the session through a live stream. Topics such as the positive and negative effects of internet usage, the importance of one's digital footprint, prevention of cyber bullying and protection from financial frauds were the highlight of the session. With real life cases as examples, it kept the audience engaged while emphasising the importance of ensuring that we stay very vigilant when using the internet for any purpose.

This session was the need of the hour for students, teachers and parents alike and the information learnt here will be used to spread further awareness so that we may build a safer Hyderabad and a safer nation
