Gitanjali Vedika launched their Activity Room, a novel initiative in providing real world exposure to the little ones. This zone was inaugurated by our respected Managing Director, Mr. Jai Karan. Adding more sparkle to this event were our dear Principal, Ms. Sonia Nagpal, the coordinators, Ms. Akansha, Ms. Sanchita and Ms. Radhika. The event was attended by the Pre-Primary teachers and students as well.
One area of the Activity Room simulates a marketplace where the students are taught to weigh different objects and sell them. This develops their communication skills and teaches them mathematical concepts. The eye-catching large scale world map allows the students to develop a curiosity for Geography and understand the various countries and terrains. Vedika Delight, a model restaurant, teaches the students table manners and how to behave at a restaurant. The Music Corner allows the students to explore various sounds and understand the power of music, and will help destress them. The music corner consists of reused everyday items like utensils, trays, spatulas and more, making it eco-friendly as well. Tactile learning allows children to become engaged with intentional play that will set the foundation for future education. The Nature Corner will allow them to explore different textures and develop a more relevant perception of the world around them. It also helps the students to develop environmental awareness and a love for nature. The Cognitive Zone provides a quiet corner for the children to solve puzzles and develop their thinking skills. It was heart warming to see the little ones exploring the different regions and learning as they went.
