As a part of ACT NOW campaign, a team from Mahindra was invited to Gitanjali Vedika to talk to the students of grade 8 about the innovative technologies used in their vehicles to mitigate climate change. As the topic for their Science Exhibition was Climate Change, they received practical training in solutions to combat this issue.
Mahindra and Mahindra brought the XUV700s and TREO models to the school premises to demonstrate.
XUV700s is a diesel vehicle and TREO is an electric vehicle. The difference between the engines and the environmental impact of the two were discussed.
XUV700s is manufactured according to the BS6 guidelines and TREO is a three-wheeler introduced for the first time into the market, which can be charged anywhere, with no tail pipe, no emissions. TREO has two variants. Through this workshop, the students understood how multinational companies are making an effort to combat climate change and about the current research being conducted in the field of electric vehicles.
