Growing and broadening one’s horizons is not just for children. Teachers need to upskill themselves regularly so that they may provide the best quality education to the students. Gitanjalil Vedika’s mission of learning extends beyond the classroom, and teaching aids help facilitate this. Ms. Bhavna Sameer Lawrence, a master trainer with Pearson conducted a workshop focused on what teaching aids are, the different types and importance of teaching aids. The teachers learnt how different aids cater to different types of learners and how they activate the senses to cultivate interest. This workshop provided a platform for teachers to come together to exchange ideas and teaching methodologies. Making a triarama, foldable booklets, finger puppets, and creating timelines were some of the interesting ideas shared. The fruitful and engaging workshop equipped teachers with new skills to begin the next academic year.
