Storytelling is a beautiful art form that teaches one about the human experience. It builds empathy in children and adults alike by allowing them to experience emotions from another viewpoint. ‘Kathakar- Let’s Go to the Magical World of Stories’, conducted on 28th of September for grades 2 to 5, was Gitanjali Vedika’s attempt at stimulating children’s curiosity and imagination while helping them learn life lessons that will make them into paragons of virtue.
The leading lady of this session was Ms. Pretigaya Haran whose main focus has always been to incorporate theatre and storytelling into daily learning. She shared with the children two heart-warming stories, and her enthusiasm and skill kept our little ones completely engaged. The stories taught the children to never give up on the things they love and to not lose sight of the fact that a little mischief makes life more fun.
