September 5 is a special day for the Gitanjali family. It is not only Teachers’ Day but also our Founder Principal and Director Mrs. Gita Karan’s birthday! The students of Gitanjali Vedika celebrated the double festivities on a virtual platform. To banish all obstacles and bring joy, we began the event with Ganesh Vandana to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha. The students were excited to be a part of the special occasion and conveyed their love for Gita Karan ma’am through song and dance.
The students expressed their adoration and gratefulness towards their teachers through poetry and music as art expresses what the soul feels. To bring more awareness to the person who Teachers’ Day is celebrated for, grade 3 students gave an enlightening speech on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. No event is ever complete without some foot-tapping music and grooves. The students of class 5 put together an upbeat dance performance for all to enjoy. The programme concluded with a riveting mime act put together by our students. The essence of ‘Guru is God’ was conveyed beautifully through this act which left the audience with something to think about.
