Gitanjali Vedika School celebrated National Sports Day with exuberance and fervor, commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand. He was known for his extraordinary ball control and goal-scoring feats, in addition to earning three Olympic gold medals, in 1928, 1932 and 1936, during an era where India dominated field hockey. The event, held on August 29th, 2023, was a testament to the school's commitment to promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness, and the spirit of healthy competition among its students.

The school grounds buzzed with excitement as students, teachers, and staff gathered. The occasion was graced by Mr. Kiran Chary, an international throwball player and a national level handball player who was warmly welcomed by our Principal, Ms. Sonia Nagpal. The day began with an inspiring assembly, during which the significance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle was highlighted.
