AI for Nature – A Step Towards a Sustainable Future!

Students of Grades 4 and 5 from Gitanjali Vedika attended an enriching session on Sustainability organized by the school in collaboration with Goethe Zentrum Hyderabad and the Max Planet Institute on 17th October. The session focused on the importance of keeping our environment clean and using technology wisely to protect nature. Students learned that littering not only spoils the beauty of our surroundings but also harms us by polluting our food, air, and water. They understood how air pollution from factories and waste thrown into water bodies causes great damage to aquatic life. The session also highlighted how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can play a positive role in preserving nature. AI can be used to detect moisture and water levels on Earth, identify different types of trees, and even track bird migration. At the Max Planet Institute, scientists use tiny microchips inserted in birds to study their travel patterns and communication with other birds. The concept of Future Forests, supported by AI, inspired students to imagine greener, healthier environments where technology supports nature.
