Connecting all the stakeholders of an educational institution is paramount to the proper development of a child. Taking this into account, Gitanjali Vedika organizes an Annual Parent Orientation session at the beginning of the academic year. This helps set the expectations for the year ahead. The parents of the new students met the leaders of the school to get a better idea about the vision of the school and how the school and its members would work together to define their child's growth. The class teachers presented the parents of their class with an outline of the academic year, the various assessments, the achievements in the past year and what they could look forward to in the future. The presentations ended with a question and answer session which provided a platform for the parents to have their queries answered and to put any anxieties to rest.

After the orientation sessions, the parents of students in Pre-Primary and grade 1 enjoyed a fun-filled outdoor program with music and healthy competition. The parents of students in grades 7, 8 and 9 had a seminar with the school counselor who took them through the various steps in handling an adolescent and how to tackle the obstacles they might face as parents. The day was a productive one and set the tone of success for the forthcoming academic year.
