Gitanjali Vedika School proudly hosted the Asia Pacific Decarbonize Student Conference 2026, a prestigious initiative organised by the Rotary Club, bringing together young changemakers, educators, and environmental leaders to champion sustainability and climate action.

The conference witnessed the participation of 26 schools from Mumbai, Kumarapatnam (Karnataka), Hyderabad, Jangaon, Gwalior, Delhi, and several other regions across India. More than 1,000 students actively participated in activities centred on the vital themes of Water Conservation and Food Security. Through research, collaboration, and innovation, they explored the interconnectedness of climate change, agriculture, water security, food systems, livelihoods, and communities while proposing practical, sustainable solutions to real-world environmental challenges.

The conference was honoured by the presence of Rtn. Uday Pilani, District Governor of Rotary District 3150 (2026–27), and Smt. R. Sobha, IFS (Retd.), former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Telangana. Their insightful addresses inspired students to adopt sustainable practices, lead with purpose, and contribute meaningfully towards building a greener and more sustainable future.

One of the highlights of the conference was the presentation of Signature Projects, where students showcased innovative, SDG-aligned initiatives that reflected their commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and responsible citizenship.
