Autism Day

“DOWN’S SYNDROME SAYS …. I AM DIFFERENT BUT NOT LESS BEAUTIFUL”
“AUTISM SAYS …. I AM DIFFERENT BUT DEFINITELY NOT LESS NORMAL”
Gitanjali Devashray is creating a pathway to enhance the lives of these children. Two days, 21st of March and 2nd of April have been streamlined for an uplift to the self-esteem of our special children.
The event held on the eve of Down’s Syndrome and Autism days, began with a spiritual invocation of Lord Ganesha, by our special student, Hansika. The tempo was set for an activity and camaraderie. The ‘special sketch’ by parent-child duo was amazing. Why not an activity for the body and mind? Hence, a ZUMBA for the same people was organised by JUMPFIT aegis. A ‘game of bowling’ to take to the field was quite a physical elevation. The children added a special touch with a ‘dance’ number along with their educators.
Principal, Kasturi ma’am threw light on the NEP guidelines wherein she focused the ‘holistic development of these children; giving them freedom to explore the world along with activities and hands-on learning’. Anjali ma’am, Sabrina ma’am and Chitra ma’am also have been a part of this insightful contribution.
All is well, which ends well! Leaders, Parents, Special Educators and children bonded over a platter. Children were in for a pleasant surprise with their ‘gifts’. The entire proceeding was frozen in a memorable capture – A Group photograph!
