At Gitanjali Vedika, we firmly believe that the foundation of meaningful education lies not only in academic excellence but also in creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for every child. Taking this vision forward, an extensive awareness session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for the teaching faculty was organised.

The session was facilitated by Mrs. Sridevi Pyla, Student Counselor at Gitanjali Vedika, who brought her expertise and insights to guide teachers through the core provisions and objectives of the Act. She emphasized the importance of teachers being not just educators but also vigilant guardians of children’s rights. Mrs. Sridevi Pyla highlighted how awareness, sensitivity, and timely intervention can make a world of difference in ensuring that every student feels secure within the school environment.

The interactive session covered critical aspects such as recognizing early signs of distress in students, understanding the legal responsibilities of educators, and building an atmosphere where children feel empowered to express themselves without fear. Teachers were encouraged to adopt a proactive approach in fostering trust, empathy, and open communication with their students. This initiative served as a powerful reminder of the school’s unwavering commitment to child safety.
