The Pre-primary students of Gitanjali Vedika celebrated the festival of Bonalu at school. 'Bonam' means a meal of rice, jaggery and milk cooked in a pot, as an offering to Goddess Mahakali.

Colouring the pots yellow, decorating them with neem leaves, drawing the picture of the Goddess and understanding the significance of the festival, marked the occasion. Dressed in bright traditional attire, the children enjoyed the celebrations, that reflect the culture of Telangana.
