Children’s Day at Gitanjali Vedika School was celebrated with a vibrant cultural spirit as the
occasion also marked the birth anniversary of our beloved Founder, late Uma Karan Sir. The day
began on a solemn and respectful note with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by our Principal, Mrs.
Sonia Nagpal, paying heartfelt tribute to the visionary whose ideals continue to guide our
institution.
The celebration that followed was a beautiful blend of emotion, enthusiasm, and togetherness
specially curated by our teachers for the students, as a token of love and appreciation for
childhood.
The programme commenced with a delightful performance by Pre-Primary teachers, spreading
innocence and cheer across the audience. This was followed by a colourful teachers’ fashion
show by the teachers of Grades 1 to 4, where educators represented the diverse states of India
through traditional attire, celebrating unity in diversity.
Following, the stage came alive with a high-energy mash-up dance by teachers of Grades 5 to
10, showcasing the rich cultural rhythms of India in one spectacular performance. The
celebrations concluded on a powerful note with an electrifying dance performance by the
Grade 10 students, reflecting confidence, creativity, and youthful spirit.
This special day stood not only as a celebration of childhood but also as a tribute to Uma Karan
Sir’s enduring legacy, whose birthday reminds us of his unwavering commitment to education,
values, and holistic development. His vision continues to inspire every classroom, every child,
and every dream nurtured within our campus.
