In our increasingly digital world, cyber safety is no longer a choice it’s a necessity. With this vision, Gitanjali Vedika School hosted an enriching Cyber Security Awareness Session for students of Grades VII to X. The session was facilitated by Mr. Tarak Raman and Mr. Chandrakanth, experts from the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), who have been actively promoting cyber safety awareness since 2020.
The session was designed to help students understand key concepts such as digital footprint, digital identity, and the fundamentals of cyber hygiene. Students learned how their online actions leave lasting impressions and how to take charge of their digital presence by using strong passwords, enabling privacy settings, and avoiding the oversharing of personal information.
One of the most impactful parts of the session focused on cyber bullying — how to identify it, protect oneself, and stand up for others. Through practical guidance and empathetic conversation, students were empowered to act responsibly and support peers facing online harassment.
At Gitanjali Vedika School, we believe in preparing our learners not just academically but also for the real-world challenges of the 21st century. This session was a timely step in fostering responsible, alert, and ethical digital citizens.
