Field Trip to the “Fortune Teller” Augmented Reality Exhibition at Alliance Française, Hyderabad

Students of Grades 7 and 8 had a unique and enriching learning experience during their
educational field trip to the “Fortune Teller” Interactive & Augmented Reality Exhibition held at
Alliance Française, Hyderabad, a renowned French learning and cultural centre. The exhibition,
curated as part of an international digital arts initiative, introduced students to the fascinating
world of Augmented Reality (AR) through creativity, storytelling, and technology.
The students began their visit by engaging with the basics of the French language, followed by a
fun and interactive French quiz that tested their newly acquired knowledge. This cross-
curricular approach helped them understand how language and technology can work together
in innovative ways.
A major highlight of the trip was the hands-on workshop on the “Fortune Teller” augmented
reality application. Students were introduced to how AR works and how digital elements
interact with the real world through smart devices. They explored how the Fortune Teller app
generates automated responses, blending art, design, and artificial intelligence in an engaging
manner.
Adding to the creative learning, students participated in a story-making activity, where they
used imagination and digital inspiration to build their own narratives based on the visuals and
themes of the exhibition. The students also walked through the AR exhibition, observing the
interactive installations and experiencing how technology can be used as a powerful storytelling
tool.
