Gitanjali Vedika Foundation Day & Investiture Ceremony 2025

On June 28th, 2025, Gitanjali Vedika celebrated a glorious milestone ,its 5th Foundation Day in tandem with the Investiture Ceremony, marking five years of visionary growth, academic distinction, and a steadfast commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders.

The event commenced with a dignified Guard of Honour by the disciplined students of Grade II, extending a ceremonial welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. V. Nagarjuna Maturu, an eminent interventional pulmonologist. Joining him were Mr. Jai Karan, Managing Director of the Gitanjali Group of Schools; Mrs. Madhavi Chandra, Associate Director of the Gitanjali Group of Schools; Mrs. Sonia Nagpal, Principal of Gitanjali Vedika  and Mrs. Nitasha Karan, Pre-Primary Coordinator and Advisor, Gitanjali Devakul. The event was also graced by the ever-supportive parent community.

A warm floral felicitation of dignitaries was followed by a thoughtful Welcome Address by the Principal, Mrs. Sonia Nagpal, who reflected on the school’s inspiring journey, highlighting its

 The Lighting of the Lamp ceremony, performed by dignitaries, invoked wisdom and grace, setting a spiritually resonant tone for the proceedings.

A captivating Welcome Dance by students of Grades V, VI, and VII lit up the stage with colour and rhythm, celebrating India’s cultural richness and unity in diversity.

Echoing the year’s theme of “Respect and Responsibility,” the Pre-Primary students recited a heartfelt poem on gratitude, captivating the audience with their innocence and sincerity, while reinforcing timeless values.

The grounds then came alive with the grand Marchpast, a powerful display of discipline, leadership, and coordination. House Leaders, with resolute pride, led their contingents, as       Mr. Jai Karan took the salute, acknowledging the students’ impeccable presentation and unity.

The spotlight then shifted to the solemn Investiture Ceremony, where the newly elected Head Boy - Pranav Karthik Verma, Head Girl – Shrestha V.S., and Student Council members were ceremoniously pinned with badges of office. In a moment of honour and reflection,                  Mr. Jai Karan administered the Oath of Office, inspiring students to lead with integrity, dedication, and humility.

An inspirational address by Mrs. Madhavi Chandra, Associate Director of Gitanjali Group of Schools, resonated deeply with students and faculty alike. With her visionary words, she encouraged the new leaders to carry forward the school's legacy of excellence, resilience, and responsibility.

The Fusion Dance by Grades III and IV elevated the celebratory spirit, seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary rhythm, energizing the audience with its infectious enthusiasm.

One of the most awaited segments was the Proficiency Awards Ceremony, where high-achieving students were honoured for their academic brilliance and all-round performance recognizing not only their intellect but also their perseverance and dedication.

A soul-stirring skit, “Sapne Se Safalta Tak – Kahani Vedika Ki”, enacted by students of Grades VI to VIII, creatively chronicled the school’s evolution—from a modest dream to a dynamic, value-driven institution through storytelling rich with emotion, humour, and vision.

A particularly special moment was dedicated to honouring the Grade X students, the pioneers of Gitanjali Vedika’s first graduating batch. Their exceptional performance was lauded with immense pride. The Devkaran Memorial Award was presented to Jaideep V for his outstanding achievements across academics and co-curriculars, while School Topper, G. Ranveer Reddy, was recognised for securing a stellar 96.5%, alongside accolades for subject toppers in individual disciplines.

Adding depth to the day’s wisdom, Mr. Jai Karan’s address offered pragmatic insights and encouragement, while Mrs. Nitasha Karan joined in honouring students with the Best All-Rounder Award, celebrating balanced excellence in academics, character, and leadership.

The event concluded with a graceful Vote of Thanks delivered by the poised Head Girl, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of dignitaries, faculty, parents, and performers. The gathering then rose together in unison for the National Anthem, bringing the ceremony to a dignified and patriotic close.
