On 20th July 2026, our students of Grade 7 had the privilege of attending the 2nd International Children's Theatre Festival -HYD 2026 at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad. The festival was organized by the Department of Language & Culture, Government of Telangana, Telangana Sangeet Natak Akademi, and Nishumbita, bringing together young performers and theatre enthusiasts from across India and around the world.

The event offered students an enriching opportunity to experience the transformative power of theatre while celebrating creativity, artistic expression, and cultural diversity. Through a series of captivating performances, they witnessed how storytelling can inspire, educate, and connect people beyond geographical and linguistic boundaries.

A particularly memorable highlight was a performance by a theatre troupe from Sri Lanka. Although the play was presented in a language unfamiliar to our students, the artists' expressive performances, powerful emotions, and compelling visual storytelling enabled the audience to understand its message with remarkable clarity. The experience beautifully demonstrated that theatre is truly a universal language, capable of transcending linguistic barriers and fostering meaningful human connection.
