International Yoga Day Celebrations

On the peaceful morning of June 23rd , Gitanjali Vedika School resonated with the spirit of mindfulness and inner harmony as students and staff came together to celebrate International Yoga Day with enthusiasm and grace. The school grounds transformed into a haven of wellness, echoing the calm energy and reflective spirit that yoga inspires.

In a heartening gesture of encouragement, Mrs. Sonia Nagpal personally participated in the yoga session, performing the asanas alongside the students. With poise and serenity, she addressed the gathering and spoke passionately about the timeless relevance of yoga in our modern lives. She highlighted how yoga enhances mental clarity, sharpens concentration, boosts emotional resilience, and fosters a deep sense of inner peace and discipline qualities that are essential for every student in their journey of growth.

The session commenced with gentle warm-up exercises and gradually progressed into a series of energizing asanas, mindful breathing techniques, and calming meditation. The sun salutations, tree pose, cobra pose, and child’s pose were among the many postures practiced, each one opening a door to self-awareness and stillness.
