Gitanjali Vedika hosted its annual Math Fair – Vedika’s Symphony of Numbers, a celebration of intellect, creativity, and innovation. The event was graced by distinguished Guests of Honour Mr. Pradip Kumar Sinha, Director of CFD, DRDL, Mr. Sukumar Pradhan, Managing Director of FLIC Microwaves Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. N. Hazari, Secretary, Institute of Defense Scientists and Technologists whose presence added immense inspiration to the occasion. The programme commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, led by the Guests of Honour, members of the Management, and our respected Principal, Mrs. Sonia Nagpal, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
The day unfolded with a warm welcome address, a Math Prayer, and a delightful series of student presentations. Students of Grades 1 to 4 charmed the audience with performances highlighting the omnipresence of mathematics, while Cambridge students added colour with a lively dance and song. Students of Grade 5 showcased the mathematical essence in yoga postures through Surya Namaskar and presented an energetic dance on overcoming fear, including the fear of math. Students of Grades 9 and 10 captivated the gathering with models and projects on aerospace engineering and bacterial growth, demonstrating the practical applications of mathematics across disciplines.
In their inspiring addresses, the Guests of Honour shared invaluable insights drawn from their rich professional experiences, motivating students to embrace mathematics as a tool for innovation and progress. The Principal’s Speech further underscored the vision of the school in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and responsibility among learners.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, the National Anthem, and a vibrant Math Exhibition, where students’ models and projects were displayed. The Math Fair 2025 stood as a shining example of Gitanjali Vedika’s commitment to holistic education, transforming numbers into a true symphony of ideas and possibilities.
