“Words have incredible power. They can make people’s hearts soar, or they can make people’s hearts sore.” — Dr. Mardy Grothe
At Gitanjali Vedika, nurturing confident, creative, and expressive individuals has always been at the heart of our educational philosophy. On April 10, 2026, the students of Grades 5 and 6 enthusiastically participated in an Inter-Class Speech Competition, showcasing their talent, imagination, and public speaking skills.
The theme for Grade 6, “The Magic of Theatre: Expression, Emotion and Change,” inspired students to step into the shoes of their favourite fictional or renowned characters. Through thoughtful roleplay and engaging presentations, students beautifully brought these characters to life, demonstrating a deep understanding of expression and emotion.
For Grade 5, the theme “World Water Day” encouraged students to raise awareness about water conservation. Dressed as various water bodies, they delivered impactful speeches highlighting the importance of preserving this vital resource, blending creativity with social responsibility.
The competition was designed to offer students a meaningful platform to communicate with confidence, think innovatively, and articulate their ideas with clarity. It also nurtured self-belief, strengthened communication skills, and heightened awareness of global concerns in an engaging and enjoyable way.
