Stories That Inspire : Literacy For Young Minds

Stories That Inspire: Literacy For Young Minds

As part of its initiative to foster a love for reading and literacy, Gitanjali

Vedika hosted an engaging session with Crystal Kite Asia Award-winning

children’s author and TEDx speaker, Arti Sonthalia, for students of Grades 3,

4, and 5.

Arti highlighted the importance of literacy, emphasizing how reading fuels

imagination and learning. Using relatable analogies, she encouraged children

to explore books on subjects they love, making reading a joyful habit rather

than a task.

She also introduced her books, including Simi Stands Tall, and captivated the

audience by reading an excerpt. The session concluded with an interactive

question and answer round, where students eagerly asked questions about her stories and writing

journey. It was an inspiring and memorable experience, leaving young minds

excited to explore the world of books.
