Gitanjali Devashray held a Telugu Folk Dance Competition for students of classes 7-10. The four houses of the school, CORAL, DIAMOND, EMERALD and SAPPHIRE were participating. The event was judged by Smt. Lalitha Padmini, a trained classical dancer. Her work in bharatnatyam has been recognised by multiple cultural organisations and honoured her as 'Nava Natya Brahma', 'Acharya icon' and many more. She was also honoured in the nation's capital by hon. Governor of Haryana, Sri Bandaru Dattatreya garu at Telangana Formation Day events.
The competition was between four energetic and enthusiastic performances of the four houses of the school. The various dances depicted the beauty of the forest, nature and the village life seen in the Telugu states. All the houses performed excellently and gave a challenging task to the judge to decide the winner. The event ended with declaring EMERALD and CORAL houses as the 1st winners and SAPPHIRE and DIAMOND houses as 2nd winners.
