The Project-Based Learning (PBL) Showcase at Gitanjali Vedika

The Project-Based Learning (PBL) Showcase at Gitanjali Vedika School was a vibrant celebration of innovation, creativity, and purposeful learning. The event commenced on an inspiring note with a warm welcome extended to Dr. Maya Sukumaran ma’am, Advisor – Quality Assurance, Gitanjali Group of Schools, by the Principal, Ms. Sonia Nagpal, coordinator, Ms. Akansha Saxena, faculty members, and students.

The program began with a soulful welcome song presented by the teachers, creating a serene and uplifting atmosphere. The highlight of the event was the Project-Based Learning presentations by students of Grades 9 and 10. The showcase reflected a shift from traditional learning to experiential, inquiry-driven education aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each project demonstrated how students are evolving from passive learners into active problem-solvers, addressing real-world challenges with thoughtful and innovative solutions.

From designing a Zero-Runoff Campus to tackling waste through the Clean & Transform Waste Zone, students showcased practical environmental solutions. Projects like the Molecular Forensic Lab and Air-Shed Audit revealed scientific inquiry and critical thinking, while initiatives such as the Fashion Forensic Lab and Cooling Retrofit highlighted sustainability and responsible consumption

The event successfully demonstrated that education today is not confined to textbooks but extends to real-life application, innovation, and social responsibility. The students’ ability to connect global challenges with local solutions stood as a testament to the effectiveness of the PBL approach.
