Welcome To Gitanjali Primary School

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I’d like to welcome you to ‘Gitanjali Junior School’, Begumpet. I am more than happy to take you through our website to have a clear picture of our activities.
We start our day with meditation followed by prayer and sharing of ideas on the topic of the weak. General assemblies are informative and fun, usually presented in the form of a skit.
Our students consistently strive to enhance their performance through three Terminal Assessments and Internal Assessments.
We have Newspaper in Education programme where ‘Star Correspondents’ write about our school activities in ‘School Edition’ of the ‘Times of India’. We do not leave behind our students who need extra help by having ‘Remedial Classes’ for them.
We get involved in the affairs of the society by creating awareness on different social issues and extending a helping hand in the rehabilitation of the victims of calamities.
Our students are sent on day excursions and out of the city excursions to enhance their knowledge about the world around them.Dental checkups, Author’s visit, ‘Readers Theatre’ and discourses by spiritual leaders are part of our activities. We show our gratitude to our elders by celebrating ‘Father’s Day’, and ‘Parent’s Day’ etc.
To facilitate all this we have a highly qualified, trained and competent Staff who are periodically trained ‘In House’ to keep abreast with the changing scenario of education.
Parents are encouraged to stay involved in their child’s school life by volunteering for different activities.
I am glad I had a chance to tell you about our school.

Headmistress's Message

Mrs. Aditi Bhattacharyya , Headmistress

“Don’t limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time”

Rabindranath Tagore

Life is a journey but we determine our destination!

Open mindedness, a multicultural orientation, independence, a global outlook, intelligence and abilities – these are the premium qualities needed today to walk the path.

Education is the ascension of humanity. It is the blessing that differentiate between a man and the rest of creature. Thereby, education is essentially important for the progress, prosperity and well being of humanity.

As a 21st century individual, I desire to set an approach to learning that incorporates inquiry, research, analytical thinking and an ethical approach that becomes a lifetime habit.

At Gitanjali we believe in a joyful, exponential, learning process wherein, each child is encouraged to participate wholeheartedly! Here, we leave no stone unturned to offer multitudes of opportunities to our children; it is for them to make the most of it and paint their own canvas!

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

Nelson Mandela
